Panhandle of Texas Chapter - AGC
The Panhandle of Texas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors is a trade organization for the commercial construction industry. It has served contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and service providers in the 32 northern-most counties of the Texas Panhandle for more than 60 years.
News & Bid Information
Members receive a weekly newsletter containing information about construction projects that are available for bidding (including links to the bid documents), safety talks in English and Spanish, news and updates on legislative and regulatory issues.
The Chapter maintains a plan room for members. Copies of plans can also be purchased. The Chapter facilitates use of its Four-Hour Bid Plan, which has been successfully used on projects in the Texas Panhandle for nearly 60 years.
The Chapter provides training at a discounted rate for members. Our Safety Coordinator offers many safety training courses, including First Aid/CPR/AED. We offer workshops on Texas mechanic liens and Texas and Federal bond claims. The Chapter also has a hosting agreement with UT Arlington's OSHA Training Institute Education Center, which offers a large number of safety courses.
Panhandle of Texas Chapter members are also members of AGC of America, which advocates for AGC members in Congress and at Federal Agencies. In Austin, the Texas Building Branch AGC Chapter addresses legislative and regulatory issues in the State of Texas for all of the building branch chapter members. We also follow local ordinances that affect the commercial construction industry.
